Rain and Rain and 20 Birthday?

Hey everyone!! This week was well.... RAINY! After the semana santa its rained ALL DAY EVERY DAY haha. Its been super nice but im kinda sick of the humidity it makes. Like at night if we leave the windows open we get wet, and if we close them its like a steam room in our house! 

But everything is super good!! We are going to have a baptism on the 6th of March and 2 more on the 20th!! We are super excited for all of them! The first is Celina, who is the aunt of a recent convert, and fun story about her! So she came to church almost an hour early and was just sitting there all by herself, enjoying the quiet. She was the first person other than us missionaries and the bishop. It was really special for her and for the bishop too because he was impressed enough to say it in front of everyone at the pulpit. Shes awesome.

We also have alicia and benjamin, they are the others who are gonna get baptized. Benjamin had a problem with drinking, and it was a problem with the other missionaries. When I got there I challenged him to quit drinking. Just for one week, to receive the blessings. He did it! He said it was super hard and he still is having big headaches but he said it was worth it! Now hes gonna get baptized.

El Cafe

EL CAFE! It feels so good to be in the capital at long last!! After being in the south my whole mission its kinda weird being here, but I love it! My area is one of the richest in the country so its a little hard to teach sometimes but the members are super awesome and they help us a lot! Me and Elder Zárate are already great friends and we are going to see miracles here. But Im out of time for now but I have lots of pictures!!

Goodbye Azua!

Well... its come to that time, that aweful time when they tell you that you have to leave your area and the people you`ve grown to love. Transfers have come and it`s my turn to get kicked out! I`ve had a nice 4 1/2 months here in Azua, and we've had a bit of success! The baptism went mas o menos on saturday. We ended up only baptizing one. Lemuel. The other 2 never showed up! Haha in the next few weeks they'll get baptized and all will be well. 

My new area is called "El Cafe" and its in the capital of santo domingo! Should be lots of fun! And then in 4 1/2 months Ill be home! How crazy!!

But yeah I hardly have any time left cause I gotta catch a bus to the capital with all my stuff, but I have pictures so everything will be okay that its short right?

General Conference

My experience of general conference was very good! I chose to watch it in Spanish, and come to find out I basically hear it the same as I do in English. Still, some of the jokes don't come off the same in Spanish. Oh well! One of the themes I picked up on was "Parents need to teach their kids the Gospel, and teach it well." I think its right! Theres a ton of crap we face daily in the world that is completely unnecessary,  but its there so we have to deal with it. If we know how we should live, it makes life a whole lot easier. But nobody said that just because we do the right things or believe in Christ  that life would be easy. ITS HARD. But we have the ability to always have the comfortor (the Holy Ghost) with us. We just gotta live right.

In other news, we got Jose Miguel and Lemuel interviewed! They are going to be baptized on Saturday! Now we just gotta get Sandy interviewed and he'll be baptized on Saturday as well! Very excited. The plan is to have 15 people baptized here in Azua on the 8th! 

Today we had a zone conference with Barahona and Azua. (2 Zones) It was alot of fun and we took some pictures so here they are!!

But I dont have much else to say for this week! Oh, and I think they'll be sending me to my last area next week when transfers come! How exciting right?
